What is the engine size for the 2004 Chevrolet Silverado with extended cab?

I’ve already looked in the door jamb and in under the hood, but I can’t find it anywhere. I would appreciate real answers not being told to look in the Owner’s Manual which the previous owner lost.

It is really hard to say because they came with so many engine combos. Now you can take your vin# and call a dealership talk to the parts department they can tell you which engine would have came in the truck. Hope this helps you out.

unless it has been removed there should be a white tag under hood on the radiator support, bottom side of hood or on the air filter housing. Otherwise you could call the dealership with a VIN # and they should be able to tell you or you could go to a shop and have them take a quick look.

either a 5.3 liter v8 on the 1500 or a 6.0 liter v8 and 6.6 liter diesel v8 on the 2500 and 3500

if it is a 1500, two options either a 5.3 litre or a 4.8 litre can usually be found under hood where information on timing can be found.
