Need help locating blower motor resistor for a 98 buick regal?

Blower Motor replaced but will only work on high no other settings work. My buddy thinks it may be the blower motor resistor. We are unable to locate this. This is a 1998 Buick Regal.

One of two places-under the hood on the passenger side near the firewall. It will have 4 wires going to it and it is usually bolted with 2 small screws into the blower motor housing.
Or under the passenger dash panel. Same configuration.
Largest guage wire will be purple.
