3/32 or when the wear bar is visible.

you can wear the tread down safely to 2/32″ however make sure the tires are wearing properly and not too much on the edges keep a close eye on them.

I would go with the wear bar on the tire. If you over inflate or under inflate your tire will wear out differently. Either way, you should consider replacing them for your safety and the safety of those who ride with you. As far as best place to buy your tires. Well that depends on where you live and what your choices are. I would call around and find the brand you like and see who will make the best price offer for you. Make sure your tire quotes are for everything included and out the door. I have three places in my town that like to do their best to out price the competition, so I always seem to know with-in $10.00 or so what everyone cost is. I truly believe in having good tires on my vehicles and always mention it to others if I see that they are in need.

with winter coming on I would replace them now if you want to be safe and check on the internet for tire deals as walmart has good deals, tire rack, and even your chevy dealer.
