Is the 2008 Scion TC a good car to get for my son with the gas prices going to $4?

It’s okay,a 92-95 Civic VX Hatchback gets better mileage than anything and is about as good looking as someone can have for so cheap so I’d get him that instead.

actually… i read in one of those consumer report magazines that they are one of the top 5 or top 10 (i don’t remember) best fuel economy 2008 cars out there.

Yes, it is very reliable. It is made by Toyota.
Only Honda can beat Toyota in reliability.
But insurance will be very expensive since this is a new car and since it is a 2 door car.
It has 160HP, so it is not that fuel efficient, but it’s okay.

yeah they are very relible and decent on gas and btw you pay under 4 dollars for gas you are so lucky im paying like 5.02 in massachusetts and i got a 500 horspower V10 i think im gonna go broke!!!! lol

I guess you should also check insurance quotes for Scion before buying one, for example here:
I will be expensive to insure for a first time driver.

it is definately a reliable car , there are some cars out there with better fuel mileage but it isnt bad at all .

Just don’t expect a $40,000 car when you buy a TC. They are a car and that is that. I really enjoy my TC with 38000miles on her it shows. Never had a problem out of her at all…
