Is a 1996 Buick Century a good choice to buy?

I am thinking about buying a 1996 Buick Century, and was wondering if it is a good car to buy. Do they have any common problems I should know about? The one I am looking at has a 3.1 liter engine with 68,000 miles. How long are they usually good for? Also, what do you think is a fair price for this car in good (not excellent) condition?

the 3.1 engine is crap although the century is a good car. you can get a later model with the 3800 engine which is tops. like a 99 century for only a few thousand

I have a 98 Buick century and love it. I have never had any engine problems with it. I do only get about 19 mpg, but it is all stop and go traffic, highway it gets about mid twenties. mine had about 68,000 miles on it and was worth about $4,000 over a year ago, and was in good condition. I would highly recommed this car.
