Oil filter is inverted in the scion. Do you have to empty oil from engine before removing filter? I changed oil last week, but didn’t have right size filter wrench. Now I want to change the filter. Do I have to re-change the oil?

The story is that someone swiped the front of my new Lexus IS 250 (color is smoky granite metallic clearcoat) and left a few minor-ish scratches. I know it’s not too serious, but I was wondering if there is any inexpensive way to get rid of them or cover them up or something. Is going to an auto store or the dealer to buff it out the only way to go?

I’m looking at a 1997 Honda Civic with “new honda engine” that has about 20k on it; is it considered reliable in your opinion?

Or should I stay clear of new engines in used cars?

I have a 1998 Pontiac Sunfire 4Door SE. It has 117,000 miles. I give it regular oil changes, and it was given a tune up last year. The only thing I had to replace on it was the alternator at 90,000 miles, and break pads and rotors. On occassion it’ll run funny (a little rough), but most of the time it purrs like a kitten. I’ve had the car for 3 years. I’m debating whether or not to trade the car in for a Honda since my experience with Honda’s is their made to run on high miles (i’ve had a honda before). How dependable is a Sunfire on high miles? Should I trade it in?

I have a 2003 chevrolet silverado with a 5.3 l v8. The engine light keeps comming on and autozone tells me it is fireing a fuel systems and emmisions sensor. I am wondering if it is somehow connected to me getting around or less than 10 mpg? I replaced air filter, spark plugs, and used some injector cleanor, nothing seams to help. any ideas?

In the past Nascar would add an aero package or restrictor plate to curb manufacturer dominance. Why the hell haven’t they done it to toyota yet? I remeber when Pontiac released the new Grandprix and was dominant Nascar couldn’t kill their dominance fast enough, the same for Chevy, Ford & Dodge. Why the hell are they allowing Toyota to dominate? Nascar just sucks anymore especially since they started kissing Toyota’s ass.
