How does a 2WD Pontiac Aztek drive in bad conditions?
Frankly i think AWD should have been on ALL the Azteks made, as they are supposed to be the ALL AROUND sport vehicle.

Anyway i would like to know how A 2WD model drives in snow/ice/rain- basically in bad driving conditions. The model i’m looking at dosn’t have Traction Control either.

If anyone has personal experience with a 2WD Aztek driving in bad conditions i would like to hear it. Thanks.

I took my Ford truck to Maxwell Ford (South Austin,TX) for a front brake job. 5 days later, they hand me the keys and said that my truck was ready. Within 15 minutes of driving off the dealership, the brakes lock, a lot of black smoke started seeping and the tires caught on fire which almost caused a multiple car accident, injury or death! A good samaritan/witness who is a Maxwell Ford employee contacted me stating that the truck fell off the lift while servicing it and the frame was bent out of shape. The impact was so hard that it knocked the battery out of the motor and even cracked their concrete floor. The truck was rushed to their body shop to patch the damage. Jim Ramsey, the Service Manager, deliberately did not notify me of this incident. In addition to the brakes and fire damage, my gas tank and oil filters have been punctured. Now, they are trying to fire our witness! What started as a brake problem resulted in a totaled car! Don’t trust them, spread the word!

I have two car loans with the same interest rate 5.65%. One loan is 10,281 and the other one is a new car loan at 22,525 that’s with taxes included. I plan to put 6,000 down towards one of the loans. Do I put the money on the lower one to pay it off sooner or refinance the new one and decrease the taxes and interest paid over the life of the loan. It doesn’t cost anything to refinance with my credit union, so there are no fees involved. Im having a hard time determining which way is more cost effective.

Ok so with all of the inefficiencies of the reciprocating internal combustion engine why don’t they make a hybrid car powered by a small centrifugal turbine that would work like an aircraft APU. The car would have an all electric drive system and the turbine would produce electricity for the electric motor. The FADEC computer would control fuel flow to the turbine as more power was needed. Trains have been doing this for decades so why not cars? A plus would be that you could use any liquid or flammable gas for fuel.
Ok you missed the piont it is an electric car not driven directly by the turbine but buy the electricity produced by a generator connected to the turbine
A single stage centrifugal flow turbine could be machined from a single piece of metal using computerized tools so it would be less complicated to manufacture than an internal combustion engine
I would not consider using and actual aircraft APU I was thinking of something about the size of a turbocharger or maybe a little larger but similar in function to an APU
Get the car moving using battery power then use ram air to help spin up the turbine

The new Chevrolet HHR SS just came out. The Chevy website says its availiable in 6 colors, but which ones? Can anybody help me. There is not much literature availiable yet since it just came out in fall 07. I need to know which colors you can get.Thanks.
